Since our beginning in 1993 we have been privileged to have many features written about our walking holidays in Spain in a number of international newspapers and magazines plus a BBC Radio 4 programme on the wild life of the area and in particular Bonelli's Eagles.

These are a small sample of the many articles written about walking and activity holidays in Spain based in Quatretondeta. These articles give a wide coverage of the many superb walks to be found here.

One of the first national press articles written about guided walking holidays in Quatretondeta was in the Daily Mail. The article written by Ann Bird called "In the footsteps of St George" appeared in 1st May 1999 edition. Unfortunately it has not appeared on the web but we will try and get it published here soon. Once again the article was written about a Waymark Holidays; guided walking holiday, organised and operated by Brian & Pat Fagg.

WALKING ABROAD, "Retreat from the Beaches" written by Gill Page, an experienced walker as well as journalist. Sadly this excellent publication no longer exists due to distribution problems, but we have included it as we feel it gives the flavour of the area.

Another article appeared in SCOTLAND ON SUNDAY during November 2000. Written by James Rampson, a not so experienced walker, gives a different perspective of a walking holiday in the Alicante mountains of Spain with mountain walks. Even though a little exaggerated in places.

An article which had a huge impact appeared in The Sun, 29th September 2001. The article called by the "imaginative" title of "Costa del Stroll" took up the entire page 5 of the Saturday edition. On June 21st, 2006 our walking holidays were featured in "The Times" you can read this article in the TIMESONLINE website. Written by Nick Haslam an experienced travel and adventure activity holiday writer.

Listen and read about the BBC 4 radio programme "Behind the Taverna" presented by Brett Westwood and featuring Brian Fagg on the wild life and particularly Bonelli's eagles and the rich bird life to found in the mountains of Alicante just a few miles from Benidorm.

Brett Westwood recently returned to the mountains of Alicante for a Birding holiday. This holiday included varied habitats in the Alicante mountains and a day on the Albufera of Valencia , recognised as one of the most important bird habitats in Spain. We are delighted that Brett felt it was one of the best birding, bird watching experiences he had had anywhere in Europe.
